Two men were wounded in a shooting at a south Sacramento home early Saturday morning.
One victim was shot in the head and taken to the hospital by family members with life-threatening injuries, Sacramento Police Officer Michele Gigante said. The second victim was shot in the leg and taken to the hospital by fire personnel with non-life threatening injuries. No other information about the victims was available.
The shooting happened just after 5 a.m. outside a home on the 2800 block of Provo Way. Multiple suspects shot at home and one of the victims who was in the street.
The suspects then left the area. No one is in custody at this point.
Gigante said the shooting doesn't seem to be random, but it is unclear if it is gang related at this time.
Homicide detectives were called to the scene because of the critical injury and the multiple witnesses, Gigante said.
