A Marysville man was arrested for sexually assaulting three children, Marysville police said.

Police began investigating Abel Ramirez-Herrera, 33, in March when a family member of one of the victims reported him to police, Deputy Chief of Police Aaron Easton said.

During the investigation, officers found the sexual abuse of the victims started in 2009.

Easton said Ramirez-Herrera was arrested Monday night at a K-Mart parking lot. He was booked into Sutter County Jail for committing lewd acts upon a child.
